Shedid co., a local online boutique specializing in cute hats for women and girls, is the realization of a long-time dream for Naperville mom Shannon and her daughter, Annie. The pair finally launched the hat company together in 2021 after years of dreaming and planning.
Shannon says that while she’s dreamed of owning her own online business for a long time, she kept putting it off. After all, as a single parent and working mom of two kids, she’s got a lot on her plate.
In 2021, she decided it was time to make her dreams a reality. "I thought, 'I don’t want people to describe me by saying ‘she wished she could,’” Shannon explains. “I want them to say “'she did!’”

Shannon loves hats – in fact, you can rarely catch her without one! She appreciates hats as a quick way to fix a bad hair day (and cover up some grays). Plus, there's no better conversation starter than a fun saying on a hat!
Annie loves showing off her sassy style with the hats and impressing her friends with her entrepreneurship.

Shannon is a single mom who works as an executive assistant. Annie, her daughter, originally wanted to help out in order to earn some extra cash — and along the way, discovered an entrepreneurial spirit of her own!
