Manifesting a Better Life in the New Year

After the busy Christmas period, we tend to rush making our new year resolutions.  Either repeating old ones that we didn't stick to the previous year or plucking random ones out of thin air.  This is not the way to commit to anything. 

If you want to really change your life for the better, you need to be working towards a life you actually want to have, rather than the life you think you should have.  This is why manifesting your desires is a much more positive practice over setting stale new years' resolutions.  Focusing on what you want in your life rather than what you need to do to get there opens you up to more possibilities and will spur you on to real and positive action.

Top tips for manifesting the life of your dreams:

  • Practice gratitude –If there is one thing you can do in order to supercharge your manifesting skills, it is to practice gratitude. Being thankful for what you have now enables you to invite in more of what you want.  Try making a gratitude jar.  Write down everything you are thankful for on slips of paper and add them to your jar.  Every morning, try to add something new and pick out one from your jar when you need a pick-me-up.
  • Visualise your goals –If you don't know what you want to manifest in your life, how do you expect to manifest it? Try making a vision board.  It can be a physical board, or a digital one.  But, make sure you place it where you will see it every day – preferably first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
  • Stay in the moment –Panicking and thinking that you're running out of time is fear based. Staying in the present moment and realizing that this moment is all you have will help you to be calmer and more focused.  If you are struggling to stay in the moment, try spending a few minutes noticing the world around you.  Think of one thing you can smell, taste, see, feel and hear.
  • Practice letting go –If you want to manifest new things into your life, you have to make room for them. Letting go of stagnant business practices, toxic relationships and anything that isn't serving you will make you feel lighter and more positive.  Start small with clearing out your clutter from one room in your office or home and see how it makes you feel.

If you stay consistent and integrate these tips into your daily life, you can be sure to see positive improvements.  It doesn't take a massive lifestyle overhaul – just creating a few small habits for yourself can make a huge difference to your life.  Do you have any favorite manifesting practices?
